    Larissa Pickens

    Creative Director
    After working with clients such as Conde Nast, Estee Lauder, and Calvin Klein, Larissa set out to build her own design studio that understands the importance of visual storytelling in marketing. Larissa earned her MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design.

    Ashley

    Senior Designer | UI & Graphic Design

    Ashley studied design at SUNY New Paltz and earned her stripes working with clients such as Daily Candy and Calvin Klein. She’s our Figma and UI expert but still stays true to her graphic design background with a love of beautiful typography and clean lines.

    Ally

    Graphic & Digital Designer

    Ally is our newest team member and has been a great addition with her upbeat attitude and almost 10 years experience working with designer and luxury brands. She has her BFA in Visual Communications from the University of Delaware.

    Kaela

    Senior Designer & Illustrator

    Kaela graduated from Cornish College of the Arts and has over eight years of design experience working with clients ranging from Julep to Amazon. She's also an amazing illustrator who can add a touch of hand-drawn whimsy to any project.

    Karina brings her marketing background with in-depth analysis and a love of spreadsheets to our creative team. She has a Masters in Communication Management along with experience in SEO and email marketing.

A brief history

Float Design started as my solo practice. After a few years the work outgrew one desk, so I brought in designers I trusted, and the practice became a studio.

What has not changed is the way we work: we get to know the story behind a brand before we touch a pixel, and we treat every client’s business as if it were our own.

I chose the name Float to reflect that sense of lightness and possibility that good work should have.
