A Brief History
Float Design grew out of my solo design work. I found my happy niche in prestige brands and have been lucky enough to work with everyone from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups.
After a few years, I realized I was perpetually swamped and needed help. I spent a lot of time looking for a designer who loved design as much as I do and hired her, then another.
The basic core of who we are remains the same though. We love getting to know the stories behind the brands, shaping the evolution of the industry, and helping people express their vision through good creative direction.
It's been an organic evolution — I still believe in the power of building relationships and doing work that we genuinely care about. One day a client remarked in a relieved voice, “It's just so easy to work together” — so many clients first contact us stressed and frustrated (we've heard a lot of horror stories).
However, I believe the creative process should be one of the most enjoyable aspects of building a business. I chose the name Float Design to reflect that sense of joy and possibility.
